Modern Architecture Sosnowski Residence by Chen + Suchart Studio
Sosnowski Residence is located in Tempe, Arizona, United States. Szu-Ping Patricia Chen Suchart and Thamarit Suchart of Chen + Suchart Studio LLC designed this modern concrete building by taking the form of a courtyard house which is defined by three sandblasted 8-8-16 standard gray CMU walls at the main level and an exposed Virendeel truss at the upper level. The main level’s CMU walls define the major public spaces, which are then flanked by the garage and guest bedrooms in order to provide additional privacy from the street and the neighbors. The outdoor spaces maintain an open relationship to this modern Sosnowski Residence by means of two 30’ wide expanses of operable sliding glass doors.
