Modern Architecture Design Home by McCarty Holsaple McCarty, Inc.
This modern architecture design home called The Weeks House located at Louisville, Tennessee. The results of house renovation are a restoration and expansion of 3.200 square feet, including a covered porch and a dependence of 544 square feet. The home architecture was primarily down to the bottom with the original base of structure and flagstone in concrete. Recently Re-shifted cedar-shake the roof were also preserved. The original structural elements of fir tree the Douglas one were established above and increased with the concrete polished inside and outside, the local stone of crab orchard, the cork floor above the original concrete, the siding of cedar, the millwork of fir tree, a staircase in spiral with the attic, and platforms of behaviour of individual protection outside.
We like feel concise space and the normal materials, known as Paul, admitting that this could be a feature which it inherited his/her father. Pittman and the team maintained the house true with that aesthetic. Spaces were modified and increased: the size of the kitchen was doubled, the sacrifice of one of the rooms to be slept original increased one bathroom in bottom, and an original cabinet was reorientated to make the manner for a small study and the large cabinet for the new continuation of room to sleep principal.
The living room was increased by a third, walled on three sides out of glass, and a sector of part/mud laundry was added. Central Build-institute of the statistics abound in each sector of the house, with boxes of ash and racks everywhere, and a bed and an office integrated of ash in the room to sleep principal. We have hardly any pieces of furniture in the house, known as Paul. We do not need it. But are the majority of what we have what my dad put here 50 years ago. These pieces include 14 side chairs of Bertoia of original reinforcement of wire, a chair of bird of Bertoia, and a chair of living room of Eames.
An integrated table which poses seven was reconstituted and holds the same spot in the dining sector that it made 50 years ago. Achieving the project, a dependence with the full bath, the kitchenette, and the basement were built at the end of a covered roofed passageway which extends from the mudroom of the principal house.
