Amazing Concrete House in Estoril by Jorge Mealha Architects
This modern single family house is located in Estoril, nested on an impressive slope in a plot of land of a wooded valley near Lisbon, Portugal. Designed as a series of volumes intended to reduce the mass of two houses, the program integrates multifunctional symmetrically request. A set of rules defining the development project, perimeter walls, maximum height, total construction area as well as the volume must be addressed. The final volume proposes a dialogue between a range of different solids, creating a variety of indoor and outdoor patios, which maximizes the reading light and there is a changing of spaces during the course of the day. The sunscreens create a texture on some fronts volumes and control the relationship between outside and inside the house.
